This work of art by Bela Levikova could be acquired at Sothebys in London in February 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Russian Art auction, the work Avtoportret-87 (No Kassa Moguchee Prirody) Self-Portrait-87 (But The Till Is More Powerful Than Nature), Diptych changed hands for GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,342.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Avtoportret-87 (No Kassa Moguchee Prirody) Self-Portrait-87 (But The Till Is More Powerful Than Nature), Diptych is the most expensive artwork by Bela Levikova that we have observed at auction so far.
