A top price for Bayard Henry Tyler - as previously expected
The work American Afternoon On The Avenue by Bayard Henry Tyler was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in October 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,375.00 (€ 4,301.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, American Afternoon On The Avenue is the most expensive artwork by Bayard Henry Tyler that we have observed at auctions so far.
