A top price for Bateson Mason
In June 2003 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British and Irish Art and the Collection of the, which included the work Battersea Church by Bateson Mason. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,629.00 (€ 3,778.02), 46% above the upper estimate. With this result, Battersea Church is even the most expensive work of art by Bateson Mason that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British and Irish Art and the Collection of the durch, in der auch die Arbeit Battersea Church von Bateson Mason zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.629,00 (€ 3.778,02) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Battersea Church sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Bateson Mason, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
