A top price for Basile de Loose - as previously expected
The work The Village School by Basile de Loose was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 43,020.00 (€ 33,751.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Village School is the most expensive artwork by Basile de Loose that we have observed at auctions so far.
