Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision, which included the work Belgian The Schoolroom by Basile de Loose. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 10,625.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Basile de Loose - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Village School, which sold at auction in October 2004 for USD 43,020.00 (€ 33,751.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century Paintings including Spanish Painting and Symbolism & the Poetic Vision durch, in der auch die Arbeit Belgian The Schoolroom von Basile de Loose zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 10.625,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Basile de Loose mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Village School beobachtet, die im Oktober 2004 für USD 43.020,00 (€ 33.751,77) versteigert wurde.
