A top price for Basil Ede - as previously expected
In December 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Sporting Art, which included the work Lagopus scoticus - Red Grouse in a Highland Landscape by Basil Ede. The result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,066.71) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Lagopus scoticus - Red Grouse in a Highland Landscape is the most expensive artwork by Basil Ede that we have observed at auctions so far.
