Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Bashir Mirza was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,308.00 (€ 6,223.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bashir Mirza achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lonely Girl in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 65,250.00 (€ 77,303.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Bashir Mirza wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.308,00 (€ 6.223,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bashir Mirza erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lonely Girl im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 65.250,00 (€ 77.303,63).
