Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Ritratto Di Madre E Figlio by Bartolomeo Giuliano was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in June 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 12,500.00. Admittedly, works by Bartolomeo Giuliano have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Post Prandium, 1898 in June 2004 with an auction result of EUR 68,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Ritratto Di Madre E Figlio von Bartolomeo Giuliano im Juni 2008 bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 12.500,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bartolomeo Giuliano auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Post Prandium, 1898 im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 68.200,00.
