This artwork by Bartolomeo Bettera achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Milan in June 2010. In the Important Old Master Paintings auction, the work Natura Morta Con Strumenti Musicali, Uno Spartito E Uno Stipo sold for EUR 82,350.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 40,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Bartolomeo Bettera; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A still life with musical instruments and a globe on a table, a curtain behind sold at auction in January 2021 with the realized price of USD 138,600.00 (€ 114,215.08).
