Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Musical Instruments, Sheet Music, Apples And Pears On A Pewter Platter, A Book, A Globe And A Sculpture On A Table Draped With A Carpet by Bartolomeo Bettera was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 93,750.00 (€ 84,088.26). Other works by Bartolomeo Bettera have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in January 2021 by the work A still life with musical instruments and a globe on a table, a curtain behind at USD 138,600.00 (€ 114,215.08).

Als die Arbeit Musical Instruments, Sheet Music, Apples And Pears On A Pewter Platter, A Book, A Globe And A Sculpture On A Table Draped With A Carpet von Bartolomeo Bettera im Mai 2019 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 93.750,00 (€ 84.088,26) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Bartolomeo Bettera wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Januar 2021 die Arbeit A still life with musical instruments and a globe on a table, a curtain behind mit USD 138.600,00 (€ 114.215,08).
