Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Bartolo di Fredi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in January 2007. In the Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art auction, the work Head Of An Angel sold for USD 168,000.00 (€ 129,250.65) - well above the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bartolo di Fredi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saint Anthony Abbot, which sold at auction in April 2015 for GBP 287,000.00 (€ 394,117.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bartolo di Fredi erzielte im Januar 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art wurde die Arbeit Head Of An Angel für USD 168.000,00 (€ 129.250,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bartolo di Fredi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Saint Anthony Abbot beobachtet, die im April 2015 für GBP 287.000,00 (€ 394.117,18) versteigert wurde.
