Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View through an archway by Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove was sold in the British and European Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 4,449.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ferry Crossing in Haarlem in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 52,184.57).
