Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fishermen near the city's riverbank by Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove was sold in the Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2016. It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ferry Crossing in Haarlem in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 52,184.57).

Die Arbeit Fishermen near the city's riverbank von Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ferry Crossing in Haarlem im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 52.184,57).
