Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Overschie: figures repairing a boat along the river by Overschie by Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ferry Crossing in Haarlem in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 52,184.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Overschie: figures repairing a boat along the river by Overschie von Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ferry Crossing in Haarlem im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 52.184,57).
