This artwork by Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in April 2009. In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work Dutch A View Of Amsterdam With The Montelbaanstoren In The Distance sold for EUR 5,625.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ferry Crossing in Haarlem in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 52,184.57).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove erzielte im April 2009 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings wurde die Arbeit Dutch A View Of Amsterdam With The Montelbaanstoren In The Distance für EUR 5.625,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bartholomeus Johannes van Hove auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ferry Crossing in Haarlem im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 52.184,57).
