In April 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings Part I And Part II, which included the work Roses, Tulips, Lilies And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase On A Stone Ledge, With A Butterfly, A Caterpillar, Flies And Other Insects, And A Lizard by Bartholomeus Assteyn. Here, the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 63,400.00 (€ 40,724.56). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bartholomeus Assteyn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Früchtestilleben in einer Porzellanschale auf einem Tisch und Insekten. 1641., which sold at auction in April 2011 for CHF 120,000.00 (€ 93,426.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings Part I And Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Roses, Tulips, Lilies And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase On A Stone Ledge, With A Butterfly, A Caterpillar, Flies And Other Insects, And A Lizard von Bartholomeus Assteyn zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 63.400,00 (€ 40.724,56) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Bartholomeus Assteyn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Früchtestilleben in einer Porzellanschale auf einem Tisch und Insekten. 1641. beobachtet, die im April 2011 für CHF 120.000,00 (€ 93.426,89) versteigert wurde.
