Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Barthélémy Toguo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in December 2019. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art vente du jour auction, the work Homing Pigeon sold for EUR 21,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 10,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Barthélémy Toguo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot What'S Your Name, 2003 sold at auction in December 2021 with the realized price of MAD 260,000.00 (€ 24,580.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Barthélémy Toguo erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art vente du jour wurde die Arbeit Homing Pigeon für EUR 21.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 10.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Barthélémy Toguo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit What'S Your Name, 2003 im Dezember 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von MAD 260.000,00 (€ 24.580,31).
