Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cameroonianwomen Men Exodus by Barthélémy Toguo was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,692.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Barthélémy Toguo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work What'S Your Name, 2003 in December 2021 with an auction result of MAD 260,000.00 (€ 24,580.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cameroonianwomen Men Exodus von Barthélémy Toguo kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.692,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Barthélémy Toguo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit What'S Your Name, 2003 im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von MAD 260.000,00 (€ 24.580,31).
