Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Bao Jun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu sold for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 12,869.11) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bao Jun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script, which sold at auction in October 2019 for HKD 237,500.00 (€ 27,145.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bao Jun erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 12.869,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bao Jun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für HKD 237.500,00 (€ 27.145,90) versteigert wurde.
