Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2003 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work The Karlskirche, St Stephans, Votivkirche, Vienna; And Other Views Of Vienna by Balthazar Wigand. The price achieved of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 4,992.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Balthazar Wigand have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2011 the work A military exercise in Vienna, 21 September 1822 in the presence of Tsar Alexander of Russia was auctioned for USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,746.99).

Im Dezember 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Karlskirche, St Stephans, Votivkirche, Vienna; And Other Views Of Vienna von Balthazar Wigand zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.525,00 (€ 4.992,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Balthazar Wigand konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Januar 2011 die Arbeit A military exercise in Vienna, 21 September 1822 in the presence of Tsar Alexander of Russia für USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.746,99) versteigert.
