Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Modernismo: Spanish Artists of the 20th Century, which included the work Repos by Baltasar Lobo. It changed hands for a price of USD 138,600.00 (€ 131,536.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Baltasar Lobo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pièce D'Eau in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 620,000.00 (€ 556,103.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modernismo: Spanish Artists of the 20th Century durch, in der auch die Arbeit Repos von Baltasar Lobo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 138.600,00 (€ 131.536,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Baltasar Lobo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pièce D'Eau im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 620.000,00 (€ 556.103,69).
