Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Walk In The Lake District by Balraj Khanna was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art including Indian Miniature Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in June 2012. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,608.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Balraj Khanna - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 20,900.00 (€ 26,585.71).
