Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2004 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Balraj Khanna for GBP 239.00 (€ 343.99). This price was achieved in the auction INDIAN AND ISLAMIC WORKS OF ART at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Balraj Khanna achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 20,900.00 (€ 26,585.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2004 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Balraj Khanna für GBP 239,00 (€ 343,99) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion INDIAN AND ISLAMIC WORKS OF ART bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Balraj Khanna erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.900,00 (€ 26.585,71).
