Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Paradise by Badrinath Arya for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,414.40). This price was achieved in the auction The Lahiri Collection: Indian and Himalayan Art, Ancient and Modern at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Badrinath Arya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Mending the Nets) in March last year with an auction result of USD 15,120.00 (€ 13,630.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Paradise von Badrinath Arya für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.414,40) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Lahiri Collection: Indian and Himalayan Art, Ancient and Modern bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Badrinath Arya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Mending the Nets) im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 13.630,22).
