This artwork by Badrinath Arya achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March last year. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled (Mending the Nets) sold for USD 15,120.00 (€ 13,630.22) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. This high result makes Untitled (Mending the Nets) the most expensive artwork by Badrinath Arya that we have observed at auctions so far.
