Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2012 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Street Art, which included the work Crying Freeman, 2011 by Babs. The price achieved of EUR 1,275.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Babs - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gravity, Babstrait Serie - 2014, which sold at auction in February 2015 for EUR 4,160.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2012 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Street Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Crying Freeman, 2011 von Babs zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.275,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Babs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gravity, Babstrait Serie - 2014 beobachtet, die im Februar 2015 für EUR 4.160,00 versteigert wurde.
