Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Mother & Child) by B. Prabha. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,120.00 (€ 7,091.68), 22% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by B. Prabha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 90,000.00 (€ 70,938.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Mother & Child) von B. Prabha zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.120,00 (€ 7.091,68) und damit 22% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von B. Prabha erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 70.938,76).
