The work Untitled (Mother and Child) by B. Prabha was worth USD 27,720.00 (€ 26,190.48) to a buyer in September this year. This price was achieved in the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by B. Prabha - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2006 for USD 90,000.00 (€ 70,938.76).
