Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Mother and Child) by B. Prabha. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 13,860.00 (€ 16,420.36), 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by B. Prabha have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 90,000.00 (€ 70,938.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Mother and Child) von B. Prabha zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 13.860,00 (€ 16.420,36) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von B. Prabha auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 70.938,76).
