The work Untitled (Fisherwoman) by B. Prabha was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Bonhams in London in May last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 15,300.00 (€ 17,998.99), 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by B. Prabha - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2006 for USD 90,000.00 (€ 70,938.76).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Fisherwoman) von B. Prabha wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 15.300,00 (€ 17.998,99) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von B. Prabha mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September 2006 für USD 90.000,00 (€ 70.938,76) versteigert wurde.
