Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2012 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II, which included the work Kunna Sho'Oban (From The Subtitles Series) by Ayman Yossri Daydban. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,752.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ayman Yossri Daydban - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wasat Al Halaba (from the Subtitle Series), which sold at auction in April 2011 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 18,554.75).
