Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Landscape with lake by Axel Nordgren was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in August 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 12,000.00 (€ 1,281.80). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Axel Nordgren - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Eagle At A Mountain Torrent, which sold at auction in January 2013 for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,085.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Landscape with lake von Axel Nordgren im August 2010 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 12.000,00 (€ 1.281,80) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Axel Nordgren mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An Eagle At A Mountain Torrent beobachtet, die im Januar 2013 für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.085,39) versteigert wurde.
