Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Two portraits by Axel Bentzen was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in January 2024, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,100.00 (€ 1,835.34). Other works by Axel Bentzen have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in January 2024 by the work “Villavej” (View from a street) at DKK 2,700.00 (€ 2,359.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Two portraits von Axel Bentzen im Januar 2024 bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.100,00 (€ 1.835,34) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Axel Bentzen wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Januar 2024 die Arbeit “Villavej” (View from a street) mit DKK 2.700,00 (€ 2.359,73).
