Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Scorcio di città by Aurelio Catti was auctioned at Il Ponte in May 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 800.00 – 900.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 650.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aurelio Catti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autunno A Palermo in June 2005 with an auction result of EUR 7,440.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Scorcio di città von Aurelio Catti im Mai 2016 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 900,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 650,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aurelio Catti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autunno A Palermo im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 7.440,00.
