Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Mystical Bali by Auke Sonnega. The price achieved of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 26,043.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 280,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Auke Sonnega - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ceremony at the Temple, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 65,014.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mystical Bali von Auke Sonnega zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 26.043,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Auke Sonnega mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ceremony at the Temple beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 562.500,00 (€ 65.014,59) versteigert wurde.
