Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2003 Christies in London held the auction AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER, which included the work Lantern studies by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin. The price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 590.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A folio of fourteen studies and designs and decorations for furniture and metalwork in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 2,151.00 (€ 3,091.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lantern studies von Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 590,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden.
