Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Storm clouds over Pevensey by Augustus Walford Weedon was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in January 2009. The price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 703.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Augustus Walford Weedon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the Dutch coast, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,693.16).

Die Arbeit Storm clouds over Pevensey von Augustus Walford Weedon wurde im Januar 2009 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 703,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden.
