Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale Day Session, which included the work Estación de tren by Augusto Torres. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,770.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Augusto Torres have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composición Universal-Razón in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 69,622.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Sale Day Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Estación de tren von Augusto Torres zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.770,76) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Augusto Torres auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composición Universal-Razón im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 69.622,96).
