Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Augusto Torres could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Constructivo Rayado changed hands for USD 28,125.00 (€ 22,156.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Augusto Torres - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composición Universal-Razón, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 69,622.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Augusto Torres konnte im November 2008 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin American Art wechselte die Arbeit Constructivo Rayado für USD 28.125,00 (€ 22.156,14) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Augusto Torres mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composición Universal-Razón beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 69.622,96) versteigert wurde.
