In November 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale Day Session, which included the work Constructivo con cielo y nubes by Augusto Torres. The »bidding war« ended at USD 33,750.00 (€ 26,587.36), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Augusto Torres - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composición Universal-Razón, which sold at auction in May 2018 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 69,622.96).

Im November 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Sale Day Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Constructivo con cielo y nubes von Augusto Torres zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 33.750,00 (€ 26.587,36) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Augusto Torres mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composición Universal-Razón beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 69.622,96) versteigert wurde.
