Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work Portrait Of Monsieur Antoine-Jean Amelot De Chaillou (1732 - 1795) by Augustin de Saint-Aubin. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,729.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Augustin de Saint-Aubin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The 'Valide', The Sultan'S Mother in January 2012 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,152.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Monsieur Antoine-Jean Amelot De Chaillou (1732 - 1795) von Augustin de Saint-Aubin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.729,93) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Augustin de Saint-Aubin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The 'Valide', The Sultan'S Mother im Januar 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 19.152,69).
