The price achieved of EUR 2,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Augustin de Saint-Aubin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The 'Valide', The Sultan'S Mother in January 2012 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,152.69).
