Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2003 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Pictures, which included the work Awaiting his return by Auguste Raynaud. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,875.00 (€ 5,917.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Auguste Raynaud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French la Nuit in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,899.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Awaiting his return von Auguste Raynaud zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.875,00 (€ 5.917,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Auguste Raynaud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French la Nuit im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.899,97).
