A top price for Auguste Heyn - as previously expected
The work Blowing Bubbles by Auguste Heyn was sold in the Fine Nineteenth Century Art auction at Christies in New York in April 2002. It changed hands for a price of USD 19,120.00 (€ 21,239.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Blowing Bubbles is the most expensive artwork by Auguste Heyn that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Blowing Bubbles von Auguste Heyn wurde im April 2002 in der Auktion Fine Nineteenth Century Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 19.120,00 (€ 21.239,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Blowing Bubbles das teuerste Kunstwerk von Auguste Heyn, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
