Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work German Crying Over Spilt Milk by Auguste Heyn. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,169.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Auguste Heyn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blowing Bubbles, which sold at auction in April 2002 for USD 19,120.00 (€ 21,239.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit German Crying Over Spilt Milk von Auguste Heyn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 7.169,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Auguste Heyn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blowing Bubbles beobachtet, die im April 2002 für USD 19.120,00 (€ 21.239,72) versteigert wurde.
