Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Réalité spirituelle - 1940 by Auguste Herbin was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Artcurial in December this year. The price achieved of EUR 9,840.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Auguste Herbin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Route De Montagne En Corse in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 855,000.00 (€ 732,647.81).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 9.840,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Auguste Herbin erzielen.
