Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Study Of Aquatic Plants, Luzon (Philippines), And Two Other Landscapes, Probably Views Taken In The Philippines by Auguste Borget was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,883.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Auguste Borget - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elegante asiatische Gesellschaft unter Palmengruppe sitzend. 1841., which sold at auction in September this year for CHF 12,500.00 (€ 12,919.26).

Die Arbeit A Study Of Aquatic Plants, Luzon (Philippines), And Two Other Landscapes, Probably Views Taken In The Philippines von Auguste Borget kam im November 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.883,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
