Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Paintings, Drawings & Sculptures, which included the work Waiting by August Wilhelm Nikolaus Hagborg. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,048.00 (€ 5,192.75). Admittedly, works by August Wilhelm Nikolaus Hagborg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Fiskebåten välsignas' (The ceremony of blessing of a fishing boat / Bénédiction d'une barque) in December 2021 with an auction result of SEK 230,000.00 (€ 22,435.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion European Paintings, Drawings & Sculptures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waiting von August Wilhelm Nikolaus Hagborg zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.048,00 (€ 5.192,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von August Wilhelm Nikolaus Hagborg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Fiskebåten välsignas' (The ceremony of blessing of a fishing boat / Bénédiction d'une barque) im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 230.000,00 (€ 22.435,06).
