Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by August Wilhelm Nikolaus Hagborg could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art auction, the work Reflections On The Beach changed hands for USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,615.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by August Wilhelm Nikolaus Hagborg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Fiskebåten välsignas' (The ceremony of blessing of a fishing boat / Bénédiction d'une barque) in December 2021 with an auction result of SEK 230,000.00 (€ 22,435.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

In der Auktion Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit Reflections On The Beach für USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.615,58) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von August Wilhelm Nikolaus Hagborg erzielen.
