Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Motif from Härön by August Wilhelm Nikolaus Hagborg was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 40,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 32,000.00 (€ 3,049.79). Admittedly, works by August Wilhelm Nikolaus Hagborg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Fiskebåten välsignas' (The ceremony of blessing of a fishing boat / Bénédiction d'une barque) in December 2021 with an auction result of SEK 230,000.00 (€ 22,435.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Motif from Härön von August Wilhelm Nikolaus Hagborg im Dezember 2019 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 32.000,00 (€ 3.049,79) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von August Wilhelm Nikolaus Hagborg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Fiskebåten välsignas' (The ceremony of blessing of a fishing boat / Bénédiction d'une barque) im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 230.000,00 (€ 22.435,06).
